How do I get a Teal API key?
Log into your Teal account, navigate to Settings > Integrations > API Access, and click “Generate API Key”. Premium and Enterprise plans include API access. Free plans have limited endpoints and lower rate limits.
What’s the difference between sync directions?
Import pulls data from Teal to your system (read-only). Export pushes your data to Teal (write-only). Bidirectional keeps both systems in sync automatically—best for active job searches where you update data in multiple places.
How does Teal handle sync conflicts?
Teal uses “last write wins” by default—the most recent update takes precedence. You can configure conflict resolution rules: manual review, field-level merging, or custom logic via webhooks. Bidirectional sync includes a conflict log for auditing.
Are there API rate limits?
Free: 100 requests/hour. Premium: 1000 requests/hour. Enterprise: 10,000 requests/hour. Webhooks don’t count toward limits. If you exceed limits, requests are queued and processed in the next window—no data loss.
Can I sync attachments like resumes and cover letters?
Yes! Enable the “Resume Version” and “Attachments” fields. Files are uploaded to Teal’s S3 bucket, and you receive signed URLs. Max file size: 10MB per file. Attachments increase storage usage—check your plan limits.
